The Acworth Downtown Development Authority (ADDA) is excited about all the great things that are happening in the downtown district. Several new businesses are opening this year, including PT Solutions, Center Street Tavern, J.D.’s BBQ and Fish Thyme Bar & Grill. The mission of the DDA is to help facilitate the Downtown’s economic development while preserving and promoting its’ heritage. Acworth is blessed with great shops, restaurants, wonderful professionals, and a diverse economy.
Within a ½ mile of the heart of downtown you will find:
· doctors, lawyers, accountants, architects, chiropractors
· bankers, financial planners, insurance agents
· custom millworkers, general contractors, hardware
· day spas, yoga & pilates classes, art galleries
· florists, gift shops, antiques, gun shops, bike shops
· small engine shops, gasoline, mechanics, body shops
· groceries, unique wine shops, and a pharmacy
· over a dozen great restaurants, and a whole lot more.
DDA sponsors incredible events each year including Friday Farmers’ Market, Classic Car Nights, Artists’ Markets, BBQ Contests, July 4th Fireworks, and the MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour & Block Party.
